Here are some thoughts on A Story Forever - straight from the fans:

I've listened to the song eight times in a row now! Can't seem to do it justice! 'A Story Forever' is a truly beautiful song, based around an acoustic guitar melody and underpinned by a subtle string section. Mike Peralta's vocal is effortlessly wonderful and heartfelt, and the lyrics are highly personal whilst still being enigmatic enough to make it accessible to everyone. This is a haunting, wistful love song, very atmospheric, and has hidden depths and some beautiful imagery! Cannot recommend it enough!

One thing that is fascinating about recent music is its focus on ambience and simplicity. The days of cookie-cutter haven't completely gone, but singer/songwriter Mike Peralta puts a decent dent in it by focusing on ambience, mood, and mystery with his most recent single, A Story Forever. Peralta conveys a lot through a simple instrumental arrangement and melodic, contagious vocal. Being a huge fan of 80's alternative, A Story Forever makes me think of bands like The Church, Love and Rockets, or Talk Talk, who took creative risks that are now, even years later, perceived as innovativeness. As I'm writing, A Story Forever is looping on my headphones, and I'm realizing that this track would work amazingly in film or series. Just off the top of my head, I would put it in a movie like Twilight, or a series like True Blood or Six Feet Under, with it's mysterious sound and lyrics that convey a somewhat emotional uncertainty. Mind you, that's not a bad thing, since I keep wanting to hear more of the song. Kudos to Peralta for A Story Forever, one of those songs that sounds like a deep cut, but is really a single. Doubts, regrets, and joy. What secrets do the stars hold? What mysteries lie in the blackness of the nights sky? No one knows what forever holds, or what tomorrow will bring. Let Mike Peralta write a story forever, for you!
~Katy Corbeil

The night sky, full of stars, continues through space and time forever. A Story Forever, with its beautifully written lyrics, is like the brightest star in the night sky. Not really knowing where it begins, or where it ends, it envelops and brightens, yet lets the listener feel the melancholy of forever.

Lyrics

What's the sound that you will make forever
Less or more if all would cry for you
Underneath the twilight moon in leather
or in a song with loving eyes on you

If you told them everything tonight
If you found the words for sadness too
Would it make you anything the better
Is there anything that it would do

And we're going to tell your story forever
And we're going to sing this song for you
No one really wants to live forever
The flowers on the counter are for you

So you picked the moment to remember
a thousand eyes and twenty colored lights
You disappeared into the circle too
then you stopped and smiled but no one knew

And we're going to tell your story forever
And we're going to sing your song for you
No one really wants to live forever
The flowers all along the wall are for you

Never stop, never die
Never sleep and never sigh
You should know those you love
never want to see you cry

The flowers on the rooftop are for you

What's the sound that you will make forever
Less or more if I would cry for you
Underneath the twilight moon in leather
or in a song with loving eyes on you

And we're going to tell your story forever
And we're going to name a star for you
No one really wants to live forever
The flowers on the rooftop are for you

The flowers on the rooftop are for you
