Well this sucks. Shakira is pregnant with her first kid according to an article I just read. She is apparently in a relationship with a Spanish soccer player named Gerard Pique. Damnit!
Do you ever sort of hold on to the fantasy that a celebrity is going to stay single and unpregnant (or I guess also unpregnator-ed) until one day you'll meet them by accident and they'll fall madly in love with you? And then one day when inevitably they do get married or have kids, you have to face the cold hard fact that you never had a chance to begin with? Total bullshit! I think this may have also had something to do with why Liv Tyler's popularity died down after she got married haha. [...]
Aloha dudes! This is Mike Peralta, and I'd like to clue you in on how other fans are totally getting tons of free stuff, and how you can too. How would you like to get free signed CDs, T-Shirts, Mp3s, and more? I've given tons away to fans already, and I'm always giving away more. Earning stuff is actually pretty easy. All you have to do is be a friggin awesome fan. That means in a nutshell, be very active and vocal in your support, over an extended period of time. Eventually I'm going to notice and want to reward you, or I'll just send you something out of sheer guilt.
Contact your local college radio station and let them know you'd like to hear my music, or have them interview me.
Contact music bloggers and ask them to interview or blog about me! Your favorite ones, or any in general will do.

Write your own blog about how my work has touched you in some way.
Make youtube videos, or use any other video-share service to let your friends know about me, my work, or how it has touched your life. One fan even made his own Mike Peralta T-Shirt and vlogged about it, so I sent him one of my own T-Shirts and some stickers within a couple days!
Some fans come and go rather quickly, and others show up to praise their undying love for me, then disappear 2 days later. Until I win the lottery, I can't give away free stuff to everyone, so I have to make sure you're a fan for the long haul. Please don't send out a few messages of praise for a few days and then be disappointed when you don't get free stuff. Instead, be a really supportive fan for a long long period of time. Make friends with other fans and give me some time to realize that you've been around awhile, and you'll be around a lot longer. Also, it does not hurt to be vocal about the help you're putting in. If you're going out of your way to support the cause, there is nothing wrong with making sure I see it!
Did you hear that P Diddy is going to do an appearance on the show "Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia" ? I totally just caught this article on MTV's website (no, I wasn't there... I was screwing around searching for random crap on google) that basically said he starts filming this Monday. Its probably just a one episode thing, and you might be wondering why I'm so excited about it, and that is understandable.
Don't you remember the movie Get him to the Greek??? Remember P Diddy's part in that? He was a riot! He started off as some kind of hardcore music mogul boss, but by the end of the movie they had him take some PCP or something (I don't remember) and go crazy chasing the main character around like he was going to kill him. I dunno. Maybe it was because I was so into the movie already laughing my ass off, or maybe it was because I had always seen Diddy as this very serious, put together guy... but it was hilarious. I laughed my ass off thinking of it to this day. [...]
uhhhh... well whats up you guys... most of you probably don't even know what this is about, but some of you are on twitter with me right now tweeting up a storm.
Essentially I came home from school about a half hour ago and asked my friends on twitter to DM me (direct message) a random word, and I'll make a silly sentence based off of it. You'd think I would get just a few words and probably struggle to fill in the gaps, right? You would be wrong... apparently it is happy hour on twitter right now, because I literally got over 50 direct messages and way too many words to actually put together. All the freaking DM conversations I was having are now pushed down and purged by twitter, in favor of a vast array of one-word direct messages. [...]
Hello you dudes! Guess what? I've just released my latest single!!! Its a track I've been playing at live shows for quite awhile now, but for one reason or another, never got around to recording it. Well I finally sat down and tried doing it some justice, and I think it came out alright.
SO, you can now listen to it, FOR FREE, on my discography page or Bandcamp, as well as purchase/preview on iTunes, Amazon Mp3, Zune, Rhapsody, and all those other places. Just check my discography page if you need a link. [...]
Long time no speak, huh? Sorry for not updating this blog in awhile - I've been up to a lot of new things in the past few months, such as my new YouTube Vlog Channel, learning some dSLR tricks for a possible music video soon, and a bunch of other things.

I'm writing to you this morning to let you know whats going on right now - We're giving away free stuff for the holidays!
For the last few months, I and 'Chelle (the wonderful wonderful person who runs my main fan account on twitter @PeraltaNation have been toying with an idea of a fans-only contest, and we finally decided to do it! This isn't the typical contest you usually see, where random people kiss up to win free stuff just because its free stuff. This is more like, a way to reward our real fans - those who have already been showing support, those who continue to show support, and those who are just now jumping on the bandwagon.
What You Can Win
What will you win, you ask? Michelle and I have discussed it, and we'll be giving away something of almost everything I have to offer, including: Individual Mp3s, giant mailbox killing globs of Mp3s, some of my hand made t-shirts, autographed copies of my debut acoustic album, autographed copies of my single releases, buttons, stickers, autographed demo CDs, shout outs in my next youtube vlog, and anything else we can think of!
Who wins, and how do you win?
The simple answer is: The most awesome fans will win.
The long answer is this: Show us what makes you an awesome fan. Show us how you've contributed. Tell us how you've been enjoying my work, and what it means to you. How can you do that? There are a ton of ways! :
Show us blogs, forums, facebook walls, and other places where you've shared my music and videos with other fans
Send in silly, artistic, or outrageous fan pics like people have already posted in this gallery
Tweet about "Mike Peralta", #MikePeralta, @MikePeralta and/or @PeraltaNation. Favorite and retweet our tweets, and make sure we see what you're doing!

Record your own youtube vlog and tell people how my music has touched you, or record a cover version of one of my songs!
Come hang out in my Chat Room even if I'm not around, and invite other friends and fans to join you
Purchase my music on BandCamp, iTunes, Amazon Mp3, or any of the other places it is available, and write your own customer review/recommendation for others to see
Hello friends! This is just a quick little update to let you all know about a recent interview I got to do live on the radio, in case you haven't already seen the million tweets I made about it.
Basically there is this kick ass station in my area called KUCI, run by (I believe) the University of California, Irvine. They broadcast over the air - 88.9FM, and have a live mp3 stream anyone can hear over the internet. They host a wide variety of programs and they are mainly driven by the desire to enrich and enlighten your musical culture, so they mostly play unknown or small acts, and they actually have some kind of rule that if someone is getting national radio play, they can't be played on KUCI. How cool is that? [...]
Well it's that time again - I'm releasing another single!
Everybody say it with me - YAYYYYyyy!
Phew okay, now that I got that out of my system, let's continue. My new single is a dreamy acoustic song called "A Story Forever" with very light drums, orchestral strings, subtle synth backup vocals, and my trusty acoustic guitar. The song is one very close to my heart. You see, a long long time ago, I came up with the general idea for what the lyrics would represent, and kept it bouncing around in my head for years. It's been in my heart for quite some time. Eventually I finished the first solid draft of what the song would become today, and started performing it live at gigs and to close friends at backyard parties, slowly learning how to perform it properly, in the way I had originally heard it in my head.
