Hello friends! This is just a quick little update to let you all know about a recent interview I got to do live on the radio, in case you haven't already seen the million tweets I made about it.
Basically there is this kick ass station in my area called KUCI
, run by (I believe) the University of California, Irvine. They broadcast over the air - 88.9FM, and have a live mp3 stream anyone can hear over the internet. They host a wide variety of programs and they are mainly driven by the desire to enrich and enlighten your musical culture, so they mostly play unknown or small acts, and they actually have some kind of rule that if someone is getting national radio play, they can't be played on KUCI. How cool is that?
So anyway, there is this show called The Hodgepodge Collective, hosted by Dan Surround. Dan likes to sometimes interview local artists, and invited me to come down. I got to spend the whole TWO HOURS of his show a few Saturdays ago hanging out and goofing off live on the air, as well as play about uhm.... I forget now but it was about 3 or 4 songs too. Dan is a great guy and fun to hang with and I'm glad I got to meet him in addition to being on the radio with him. Not only that, but two of my good friends actually came down to help me take photos and video for the day too!
So yeah, I got about 4 good youtube clips from the day that I can share with you here. Three are performance clips and one is a 20 minute long behind-the-scenes backstage type thing for those of you who want to get more of a feel for our perspective of the day. Also a ton of pictures.
Also, I've attached the entire 2-hour interview to this blog! So check it out, there should be a download link somewhere (or if you're reading this from some other website, come find my actual blog at MikePeralta.com

This is the "On-Air" light KUCI uses. When its on, that means be the F quiet outside! Trivia fact: This is the same light KROQ used to use back in the day!
Me and Dan Surround after the show. He was actually pointing to a big sweat stain on my shirt but I tried to make it look like we were both just doing cool poses hahaha
